🔎 so you just got rocked...

by the new google algo update

You took shortcuts. And look where that got you.

Over the past week, people have been posting how their websites have been rocked by Google’s new algorithm.

It doesn’t seem to matter if you were spamming AI content or not. The penalties were indiscriminate. The backlash is now severe.

So where do you go from here?

Google Doesn’t Care About Your Website

If you’ve been doing this long enough, you know it’s hardly the end. Both Google and your website will always be there (in some capacity).

But still, I see people acting as if the sky is falling.

Google algorithm updates are part of the game. You game the system and then Google tries to patch up those holes.

You use AI content. Google devalues sites who use AI content.

This dance is what makes SEO the billion dollar industry that it is.

The truth is…Google doesn’t give a sh*t about your website.

They know that even if yours didn’t exist, there would be another one to take your place in an instant.

So they keep changing the rules. They keep moving the goalposts.

They know you are going to have trouble keeping up with their constant changes. They want you to outsource to an expert.

So maybe you have already.

Does your SEO partner care about your website though?

The words “algorithm update” sends a chill up a small business owners spine, because they typically don’t have the resources to adjust their strategy.

In many cases, that’s because agencies or influencers online have given them bad advice.

Recently, they might have had them go all-in on AI content.

Usually, bad SEO advice just results in wasted time or money. In extreme cases, it can mean the end of the website’s organic reach.

Now, on the heels of another algorithm update from Google, is the best time for you to adjust your strategy. But not your SEO strategy.

Instead, take a good look at your partners who are giving you SEO advice. Do you still trust their advice? Make sure they have your best interests at heart.
